    About the Role

    The Data/Low Voltage Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of low‑voltage electrical projects, including:

    • Data cabling

    • CCTV

    • Card access

    • Fiber optics

    • Fire alarm systems

    This position requires technical expertise, field experience, and the ability to manage customer relationships, estimates, and project closeouts. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on low‑voltage knowledge with strategic thinking, organizational skills, and a customer‑focused mindset.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership

    • Motivate and inspire technicians; lead by example

    • Provide direction and support to field teams

    • Set personal and team goals to drive growth

    • Manage subcontractors’ costs and schedules

    • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills

    • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously

    • Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)

    • Make clear, decisive decisions and drive progress independently

    Technical Knowledge

    • Cat 5 & 6 wiring practices (termination and testing)

    • CCTV and card access systems (door strikes, card readers, power supplies, cameras)

    • Fiber optic cabling (installation, terminations, splicing, testing)

    • Fire alarm systems (IDC and SLC circuits, device installation, troubleshooting)

    Customer Relations

    • Build lasting relationships through attentive service and high‑quality work

    • Be accessible, responsive, and customer‑focused

    • Balance customer needs with profitability

    • Communicate effectively with customers, electricians, suppliers, and subcontractors

    Estimating

    • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical specifications

    • Determine materials and labor requirements

    • Use Accubid estimating software proficiently

    • Explain project costs clearly to stakeholders

    • Anticipate future cost impacts and pursue change orders when necessary

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in low‑voltage electrical project management

    • Strong leadership and organizational skills

    • Proficiency with Accubid estimating software

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills

    • Hands‑on technical expertise in data cabling, CCTV, card access, fiber optics, and fire alarm systems

    Compensation & Benefits
