Please join us in welcoming Doug Kamin to ZipRecruiter! Doug joined the Exceptional Customer Service Team a few weeks ago and is already living up to the “Exceptional” part of his job title.
Here’s a little from Doug:
I love working. Okay, love is a strong word. But I sincerely enjoy sinking my teeth into a project and crossing things off to-do lists. For me, my work ideally holds some level of intrinsic value beyond being able to pay for the WiFi bill, my daughter’s piano lessons, and fresh thrift store corduroys.
I love (still a strong word, but I mean it here) to help people. I find joy in helping others solve a problem, whatever it may be. I used to concern myself with helping people solve the problem of bad music or film taste. That was fun — I won’t lie. But as I reflect back on those times, I’m not sure my advice was solicited or warranted (having said that, please feel free to ask me what to add to your Netflix queue or what album you should legally download), but I found ways to get paid for it.
I’ve actually worked in the wonderful online universe for almost 15 years now. Web office culture generally suits me (my “suit” being an untucked collared shirt and flipflops) well. I enjoy working with likeminded folks and learning from the best. And the best would, of course, be the team I discovered here at ZipRecruiter. They are all smarter than me. I love (actually mean love here) to learn, so this is good. They are kind enough to not remind me how much smarter they are.
Speaking of kindness… did I tell you I love to help? Questions, problems, feedback… I am here and ready to help. I love you.
