The Hunger Games or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love Working on Friday Afternoons

Remember that time your boss left the office on a Friday afternoon to see ‘The Hunger Games’and left you to hold up the company in his absence? I do. That was just a couple days ago for me.

‘The Hunger Games’ made $68.3 million on Friday. I made a bit less than that. Are you happy with what you’re currently earning at your job? If not, you should be using ZipRecruiter to find yourself a new gig (okay, I just officially made this blog post loosely about our business. Boss man said I could write about “anything” but I told him I’d at least “try” to make it about ZipRecruiter (at times at least, no official promise).

At this point I was going to cleverly parallel a day at the office with the plot and/or themes of ‘The Hunger Games’, but then I realized that I haven’t seen the film or read any of the books and I’m actually not all that clever. So bear with me as I ramble about what else is going on in…”Doug’s Corner.”

Oh that reminds me… I am taking submissions on a better name for my area of the ZipRecruiter blog. Because as you can imagine “Doug’s Corner” is just a placeholder. There is in fact a literal corner of my apartment that I tend to do my best work from (like this blog post, which will be described by some as “the best!”). This is the same corner that I give weekend love to the wonderful users of ZipRecruiter. I, like the rest of the ZipRecruiter team (minus the boss man when a new tween flick comes out) are here for you 7 days a week. I love you.
