Zions Bancorporation Human Resources (Employee Services Team) is accepting resumes for an HR Generalist located in the Phoenix AZ, Las Vegas NV, or Houston TX location for fully in office schedule.
The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to:
  • Effectively communicate with client groups, employees, and outside vendors, both in-person and remotely.
  • Work independently and communicate well in various forms with remote client groups and team members.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion.
  • Assist the HR Manager in providing support to various client groups through the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up required

The HR Generalist responsibilities will include the following functional areas:
  • Primary responsibilities are administering HR programs including Workers Compensation, Unemployment Claims processing and ADA and Leave administration.
  • Acts as a resource to client groups regarding standardization and questions on company best practices.
  • Promotes effective human resources practices to minimize potential liability and risks and promote a positive environment.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the HR function.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting schedules, conducting research, organizing information, and executing tasks.
  • Ability to develop resolutions to problems of limited scope.

Successful candidates will have the following education and experience:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and some experience as a generalist in human resource process and procedures, employee relations, or other directly related experience. A combination of years of experience and education will be considered.
  • Requires 1 year of experience in unemployment, workers compensation, FMLA/ADA and local, state and federal laws and requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of general HR practices, principles, applications, methods, and laws.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple Human Resource disciplines.
  • Strong organization and follow up skills, as well as the ability to adapt to change.
  • Flexible, team-player able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid customer service, influence and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information daily.
  • Possess good initiative and judgment.
  • Strong MS Office and HRIS skills required.
