Job description

Location: Unclaimed Baggage: Operations
Position: Electronics Processor
Pay Grade 3
Basic Function: Assist with helping to sort, grade and clear personal data from merchandise from several different areas within Operations in an organized and timely manner including baggage, high value, and cargo product
General Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for acquiring and applying knowledge of clearing all consumer goods that comes through Operations that contain personal or secure data
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and know how to clear cameras, iPods, memory cards, e-readers, etc.
  • Assist with preparing, clearing, sorting, and cleaning a variety of electronics merchandise
  • Work within established SOP’s to remove the secure data
  • Knowledge of what items need to be sent to the appropriate sales channels
  • Knowledge of high value paperwork and maintaining appropriate load numbers on all product encountered
  • Ability to maintain eClearing goals assigned by management
  • Deliver all cleared items to the appropriate pricers
  • Utilize computer and/or other program skills as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of current vendor load numbers and merchandise codes
  • Be able to work independently
  • Maintain efficient flow of merchandise to be cleared
  • Ensure all high value product is cleared and processed within the established time frames (normally 30 days upon arrival into Operations)
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Assist, have meetings, and communicate with retail floor associates as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements:
  • Be able to stand for extended lengths of time
  • Must be able to work on computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift light to moderately weighted items regularly.

Educational Requirements:
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Computer and typing skills necessary
  • Electronics experience required
Scheduled Hours:
  • 40 hour week, 6:00am – 2:30pm, Mon-Fri, mandatory overtime as needed
  • Saturday overtime may be required as necessary.
  • Mandatory work days are the Friday before Memorial Day, the day before the 4th of July, the Friday before Labor Day, the Friday before Ski Sale and the Saturday before Thanksgiving
  • Required to sign up for and potentially work one Holiday per year on the retail floor
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Electronics Manager
