What is a Zamboni?

A Zamboni driver is an operator responsible for resurfacing ice at skating rinks using a machine called a Zamboni. Their main job is to drive the Zamboni over the rink to shave the ice, collect the shavings, and lay down a thin layer of fresh water to create a smooth skating surface. Zamboni drivers also perform routine maintenance on the machine and ensure the rink remains safe for skaters. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality ice conditions for hockey games, figure skating, and public skating sessions.
