Job description

Description Do you like being a part of a team environment and enjoy ice skating. Engaging with adults and children alike. Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking energetic, fun, and dependable seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill the Zamboni Operator positions at our Cabin John Ice Rink.

Examples of Important Duties Zamboni Operator (Starting @ $15.45/hr) Zamboni operators are responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of ice resurfacing equipment

Duties include: Ensuring all ice equipment is operation Oversee daily facility maintenance and leaning Complete ice measurements Enforce facility rules and regulations Sharpening facility rental and customer skates (training provided) Knowledge of facility schedule, programs, fees, and policies Should be outgoing, teamwork oriented, flexible, and have excellent customer service skills. Additional on-site training will be provided. Pay rate is based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license and ability to pass defensive driving course is required. Previous experience with skate sharpening and driving a Zamboni preferred. Minimum age: 18 Supplemental Information May be subject to medical, drug, and alcohol testing.

These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications. All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills.
