About the Role 

Davidson & Company is seeking a Co-op student to join our Private Enterprise & Tax practice for a four-month period starting January 2027 in our Calgary office. 

Your responsibilities as a Co-op student, working in the Private Enterprise and Tax practice will include: 

  • Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and tax for privately held companies in various industries. 
  • Prepare tax returns and compute taxes owing for corporate, personal, and other tax returns, applying knowledge of ASPE and related legislation. 
  • Develop and apply knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and corporate tax compliance, preparing tax returns and computing taxes for various entities. 
  • Utilize various tools and software throughout tax engagements, collaborating with the engagement team to build strong relationships. 

What You’ll Bring to the Table 

  • You are currently working towards completion of the prerequisites for admission into the CPA PEP with the intention to pursue the CPA designation are preferred 
  • Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset 
  • Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset
