Job description

Jon Ossoff for Senate is hiring a Video Editor to help us make smart, sharp, scroll-stopping video content. We’re looking for a creative thinker who moves fast, thinks visually, and knows how to turn big ideas and news moments into videos people watch and talk about.

This position requires relocation to the Atlanta, GA area and is full-time in-person. Frequent night and weekend work required through Election Day.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit video content for our social media channels and digital ads — short-form, long-form, and everything in between.
  • Research and pitch concepts and execute them from idea to final cut.
  • Move fast to capture and cut rapid response videos that meet the moment.
  • Work closely with the social, creative, and communications teams to align messaging and visual storytelling.
  • Help build and maintain a clear, consistent visual identity for the campaign’s video content.

What We’re Looking for

  • 5+ years of experience editing video content for campaigns, brands, newsrooms, political orgs, or media outlets.
  • Editorial experience — especially in a newsroom, political, or high-volume creative environment — is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects, motion graphics, or other content tools is a plus.
  • Sharp eye for pacing, tone, and storytelling across different platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Ability to work quickly and juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

The initial round of consideration will focus primarily on the candidate’s portfolio of work, submit a link in your application and, if not the sole creative, indicate what aspects were created by the applicant.

Applicants that do not submit a creative portfolio will not be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $6,500/mo

This position will come with benefits, including dental, vision and health insurance. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
