Job description

Chase is one of the most-followed financial brands, connecting with millions across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, and YouTube. Our Social Media team creates audience-first, culturally relevant content that helps people take control of their financial futures. We're looking for a top-performing YouTube strategist and operator to own a flagship Chase channel end-to-end-setting the programming vision, driving measurable growth, and raising the creative bar across long-form, Shorts, and live.

As a Vice President, YouTube Strategy Channel Lead within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), you will be the owner of YouTube channel strategy and performance. You will partner closely with creative, brand, product, public relations, legal, and marketing teams to deliver content that is compelling, compliant, and designed to win in YouTube search, suggested, and Shorts feeds. This is a highly visible role where you will influence how Chase shows up on the world's largest video platform-and build systems that scale.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and execute a comprehensive YouTube channel strategy that drives sustainable growth in reach, engagement, watch time, and subscribers-across SEO, discovery, and geo considerations.
  • Own the programming roadmap across long-form, Shorts, and live: franchises/series, formats, content mix, and editorial POV; build an editorial operating model: content calendar, publishing cadence, seasonal tentpoles, playlist architecture, and cross-channel content packaging.
  • Lead optimization for SEO/AEO and in-feed discovery: titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, chaptering, and end screens-grounded in audience intent and performance data.
  • Run structured experiments (e.g., thumbnail/title A/B testing, format tests, timing tests) to improve CTR, average view duration, audience retention, and session growth; analyze performance in YouTube Studio and related analytics tools; translate insights into clear programming decisions and creative feedback.
  • Set, track, and socialize KPIs (subscriber growth, watch time, CTR, retention, returning viewers, etc.), delivering regular reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with creative teams from briefing through post-production to ensure content is best-in-class, on-brand, and aligned to legal/compliance guidelines.
  • Represent CCB Social as the primary YouTube strategy owner in cross-functional forums and pilots, including AEO/GEO testing.
  • Share platform learnings and playbooks across editorial and social teams to drive consistency, speed, and scale.
  • Build community and loyalty through comment strategy, moderation, Community posts, and creator-style engagement that supports a positive environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with YouTube product/editorial teams, staying ahead of new features, betas, and platform changes.
  • Manage content calendars and production workflows; coordinate with marketing, SEO and PR to align publishing with broader initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Proven experience owning and growing a YouTube channel with measurable results
  • 7+ years managing professional social channels and editorial programming; Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Deep understanding of YouTube algorithms, search/discovery, SEO/geo strategy, analytics, and audience development; demonstrated ability to craft high-performing titles, descriptions, and thumbnails grounded in audience intent and experimentation.
  • Strong fluency in video workflows (pre-pro, production, post); able to edit or provide crisp, actionable creative feedback.
  • Excellent writing and editorial judgment (clarity, accuracy, tone, and detail orientation).
  • Proven ability to manage direct reports and influence senior stakeholders across high-visibility workstreams.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong communication and presentation skills (turning insights into decisions): experience with content management/scheduling tools (e.g., Sprinklr) and major social platforms.
  • Passion for personal finance and helping people make smarter money decisions.
  • Establish a clear channel strategy, measurable KPI framework, and operating cadence.
  • Launch/scale repeatable formats that improve retention and returning viewership; demonstrate sustained improvements in key metrics (CTR, watch time, retention) through disciplined testing.
  • Create a reliable cross-functional workflow that increases throughput while maintaining quality and compliance.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience within financial services, media, news, or content-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices (captions, metadata, inclusive design).
  • Graphic design and/or public relations experience.
  • 3+ years owning channel strategy for a brand or publisher
