Job Purpose:
- The Behavioral Tech II plays a crucial role in implementing treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and fostering a therapeutic environment. The Behavioral Tech III for Our Turning Point Ranch at LifeStream plays a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of clients. This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic interventions, monitor client progress, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all individuals receiving care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents in accordance with center policies.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions as directed by clinical staff.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions to ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Uphold the mission and values of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER in all interactions and activities.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical guidelines in behavioral health care.
