Job description

NAFI Connecticut provides programs, consultation, and support services in a variety of settings across Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. We work with adults, children, and families to increase communication and social skills, improve relationships, increase circles of support, and provide therapeutic services based on best-practice research. We believe that people can change, and we work to empower each individual in their own care.
We are currently seeking a thoughtful, relationship-driven Licensed or License-Eligible Clinician to join our Tress Road Group Home serving adolescent males ages 13-20 with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric needs. This is not a high-volume outpatient position or an intensive home-based role where you are moving quickly from one client to the next. Our Clinician carries a very small caseload of no more than four young people, creating the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships, understand each young person in the context of their day-to-day life, and do thoughtful clinical work over time. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work alongside professionals who know the youth well and see them in different settings and situations. That collaboration gives you a fuller, more holistic understanding of each young person - allowing treatment to extend beyond the therapy session and become part of the entire therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on each youth's treatment needs
  • Maintain a small caseload and serve as the primary clinical contact for assigned youth and their families
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment and safety plans
  • Provide ongoing clinical consultation and guidance to residential staff and other members of the treatment team
  • Collaborate regularly with families, community providers, schools, funders, and other professionals involved in each youth's care
  • Participate in treatment conferences, planning meetings, and other clinical meetings
  • Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation
  • Support clinical training and development of program staff in partnership with program leadership
  • Participate in the program's on-call system and provide clinical guidance when needed
  • Help foster a treatment environment that is trauma-informed, collaborative, individualized, and grounded in unconditional support

Our Exceptional Benefits:
  • Generous paid time off
  • 3-6 weeks' vacation, 7 sick days and 11 paid holidays each year

Employee Health and Wellness:
  • Comprehensive and affordable medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage (Reimbursements for fitness, weight loss, holistic health programs)
  • No cost employee assistance program
  • Voluntary employee focused wellness programs

Retirement and financial Planning:
  • Company matching 403b and no cost retirement consulting
  • Company paid for life Insurance and long-term disability
  • Public service loan forgiveness
  • Insurance including accident, hospital indemnity, supplemental Life
  • Pet Insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement: Includes licensure fees, professional memberships

...and much more!
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master Degree
  • License / Licensed eligible (LCSW / LMFT / LPC)

Salary/Hourly Rate: $62,000 per year
