As part of the Princess family, you'll enjoy competitive benefits, professional development opportunities, international career pathways, and the unique opportunity to explore some of the world's most breathtaking destinations.
  • Lead the onboard Youth & Family Program by planning, organizing, and overseeing a wide range of age-appropriate activities that align with Princess Cruises' brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and families participating in the program, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and child safeguarding policies.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the Youth Staff team, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement through regular feedback, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Entertainment Director and other shipboard leaders to align youth programming with the overall entertainment strategy, share best practices, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Monitor program performance and guest satisfaction, using feedback and data to make informed decisions and enhance the overall experience for young guests and their families.
Manage program logistics, including scheduling, inventory of supplies, and budget tracking, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with financial targets.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance the family guest experience, including partnerships with other departments (e.g., Food & Beverage, Shore Excursions) to create integrated offerings.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, embodying Princess Cruises' Shared Purpose and Core Values, and encouraging innovation and creativity among team members.

  • Degree or diploma in Education, Recreation, Child Development, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to embarkation).
  • Child safeguarding training or certification is a strong asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in youth programming, education, or recreational leadership, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Previous shipboard experience in an equivalent role is required. Additionally, a minimum of one year of experience in hosting or a related entertainment-specific role.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for children and teens.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, especially in fast-paced environments.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, inventories, and operational logistics effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when working with minors and families.
  • Comfortable working long hours, weekends, and holidays in a shipboard environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
Embark on a career adventure like no other! As part of the Princess Cruises team, you'll enjoy:
  • A competitive salary package.
  • Your comfortable single cabin - your space to relax and recharge.
  • Company-paid travel to and from the ship, so you can focus on the journey ahead.
  • Access to exclusive areas and benefits onboard (depending on the rank and occupational group).
  • A vibrant recreation and welfare program designed to support your well-being and work-life balance.
  • Access to exceptional learning and development opportunities to grow your skills and advance your career.
  • The chance to travel the world, exploring exciting destinations while doing what you love.
