ROLE: Young Adult Coordinator

STAFF LEVEL: Associate Staff, Full Time, Salary, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Students and Young Adults

At Granger Community Church (GCC) we are committed to building a world-class staff of team members devoted to the high calling of ministry. We all acknowledge that this is not "just a job." SUMMARY

Young Adult Coordinator helps Young Adults take their next steps toward Christ by providing structure and leadership that invites them into a journey with friends as they are mentored to live on mission, with the purpose God created them to discover and experience. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate this growth.

Every week, you'll see this Coordinator creating and executing a plan for young adults to get connected from attending a biweekly gathering, to getting plugged into groups, to finding a 1 on 1 mentor relationship. The Young Adult Coordinator will work with the Pastor of Students and Young Adults to create a space for learning, connection and worship for any Young Adult that walks through the doors of Granger Community Church. The Young Adult Coordinator will also work to create and execute online engagement and connections for students and young adults.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

YA Community Builder

To build and nurture a disciple making culture on college campuses, work places, and anywhere a Young Adult might be in the Michiana area. Creating a movement that equips, empowers, and encourages young adults to listen and obey to the Holy Spirit.

Young Adult Next Steps

Plan and execute YA programming and also regular meeting and training of young adults to pull off the gatherings and events. Moving them into their next steps that the Holy Spirit has for them.

Student Creative

Create and execute a plan to create safe spaces of belonging and virtual front doors for students to engage with Young Adults and GSM. Responsible for the GSM weekly creative plan and execution of the service elements themselves. Continue to make sure our service order and goal of the service is executed creatively and effectively. Create and execute a social media plan for Students and young adults.

Everything Else

There will always be ministry projects that arise that need assistance or leadership and there is an expectation that everyone on the Granger Students team will be willing and ready to jump in and help wherever needed to see the ministry succeed. This can and will range from things such as running errands, to participating or leading of events/mission trips and helping shape significant ministry efforts outside of the Director's standard role.

A culture where volunteers are consistently asking, "where can I help?", and Granger Young Adult Team are consistently asking, "how can we involve volunteers?"

Partnership, support and collaboration with the Granger Students and Young Adult staff as we all seek to do everything God calls Granger Students and Young Adults to do in order to, "Help Students and Young Adults take their next steps toward Christ...together."

Building fun, engaging, and predictably unpredictable services for students and young adults to encounter Jesus in a real way.

Constantly looking for and creating new open doors through online and social media engagement
