YMCA Basketball Referees are individuals responsible for enforcing the rules of basketball during games organized by the YMCA. They ensure fair play, maintain the safety of players, and make crucial decisions such as calling fouls, violations, and keeping track of game time. Referees also help promote sportsmanship and a positive atmosphere, especially in youth leagues. Typically, they have a thorough understanding of basketball rules and may have received specific training or certification from the YMCA or other recognized organizations.
