What We Do

Our company California Yellow Cab or CYC oversees a family of brands in the taxi/rideshare space across Southern California.

Our ideal new addition to the team will be someone who has a positive attitude; is detail-oriented; possesses excellent communication skills; demonstrates sound judgment; has the ability to think on their feet; and can maintain a high level of professionalism.

JOB SUMMARY

Communicates with drivers via radio and accommodates cabs and shuttles accordingly. Create a welcoming environment for airport guests and facilitate their arrival or departure to and from the taxi stand. This includes greeting guests upon arrival, procuring taxicabs, opening doors, and carrying their small personal bags upon request larger items should be handled by Taxi drivers only. Starters may also be responsible for keeping their work area tidy by sweeping and removing refuse. Beyond their basic duties, starters are expected to assist guests by giving directions and providing important information about the airport taxi stand and general services. Starters also need to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
