Job Summary

The OR Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures in an operative setting, assisting surgeons and radiologists by providing high-quality imaging while maintaining radiation safety and patient care standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures in the Operating Room setting.
  • Operate C-Arm and portable X-ray equipment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Monitor and report adverse reactions to RN/supervisor.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs with minimal radiation exposure.
  • Follow radiation protection protocols for patients and staff.
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders before procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, radiologists, and OR staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT Certification
  • New Jersey State Radiologic License
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • 2+ years OR X-Ray Technologist experience preferred
