Rate: $35-55/hr
We are seeking a talented and experienced Contract CT/X-ray Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Contract CT/X-ray Technician to support our esteemed hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a prestigious healthcare environment and contribute to the delivery of world-class patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, providing appropriate care and assistance as needed.
  • Position patients correctly and accurately to obtain optimal images, following radiation safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, identify abnormalities, and assist in patient diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging files, and equipment logs in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT and X-ray equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols, to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
  • Current certification and registration as a CT Technician (ARRT-CT) or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT or X-ray Technician in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating CT and X-ray equipment, including knowledge of advanced imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and physicians.
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
