Job description


The concessions supervisor is responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the food service operation, which includes inventory, customer service, food preparation, and food safety/sanitation procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you'll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and help where needed.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for opening and closing the building according to expectations of the management team
  2. Monitors setting up and breaking down of workstations
  3. Monitors the sanitation of workstations, including floors, worktables, walls, refrigerators, equipment, dishes, and utensils
  4. Oversees the cashiers on duty and ensures that they are properly trained and adhere to the cashier policy
  5. Oversees the cooking and preparation of food items for the day according to the recipes and brand requirements
  6. Responsible for ensuring correct portion size of food items.
  7. High level product knowledge and ability to coach staff to effectively service the customer
  8. Ensures staff completes daily temp logs
  9. Oversees the product merchandising, line displaying, and distribution of marketing materials
  10. Provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff members
  11. Informs management of escalating employee conduct issues
  12. Responsible for making sure the staff properly disposes of waste
  13. Oversees staff during peak times of operation and deals with labor shortages as needed
  14. Assists managers with ordering and inventory responsibilities
  15. Ensures each station has the equipment and supplies needed to serve the customers
  16. Maintains professional appearance and models compliance to uniform policies and ensures uniform compliance of staff
  17. Occasionally works in other areas or departments as required by your manager
  18. Performs tasks as requested by your manager(s) on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis
  19. Manages employee issues, and makes sure locations are staffed appropriately
  20. Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred
  • Previous food experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain food safety and alcohol certification
  • Exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction and service skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge and experience managing inventory
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to improve efficiency
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt and problem solve to necessary and unforeseen changes
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication skills to ensure staff is aware of all information
  • Ability to operate equipment in the stand and support to get product ready for sale.
  • Demonstrate consistent professionalism in the execution of daily assignments
  • Ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to stand/walk for an extended period, as well as occasionally lift up to 50lbs
  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
