We are seeking aย CTย Technologist,ย sometimes referred to asย a Radiologicย Technologist IIย (Rad Tech).ย ย As a CT Technologistย you will specialize andย be responsible forย operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images ofย patient'sย internal organs and tissues. You willย assistย in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.ย ย

Location: Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):ย 

  • Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on theย Computer Tomography (CT)ย table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may haveย 
  • Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings toย optimizeย image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyย at all timesย 
  • Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedureย 
  • Assistย other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoย assistย in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresย 
  • Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceย accurateย imagesย 
  • Responsible forย maintainingย radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsย regardingย infection control and hygieneย 
  • Maintainย your register status for the American Registryย ofย Radiologicย Technologists (ARRT)ย ย 
Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:ย 

1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.4. Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. 5. ARRT-CT Certification is required6. Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.7. Proficient computer skills.
