Job Summary
Under the direction of a Radiologist, operator performs limited radiology procedures at a technical level, requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation, for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures, as required. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as an Radiologic Technical Assistant (RTA).
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Enrolled in a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited school or in process of taking/completion of prerequisite courses for enrollment in Radiology school.
Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred but on-the-job training will be provided. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Must hold an applicable state X-Ray operator license.
