Jobs at WWE range from in-ring performers like wrestlers and referees to behind-the-scenes roles in production, creative writing, marketing, and business operations. WWE offers careers in television production, live event management, talent development, and digital media. What does a typical week look like for a WWE Superstar?

A typical week for a WWE Superstar involves extensive travel for live events, training sessions to maintain peak physical conditioning, and rehearsals to prepare for matches and promos. You'll often work closely with trainers, creative staff, and other wrestlers to develop your character and storyline. Days may include media appearances or community outreach, as WWE Superstars serve as public figures for the company. Balancing performance, fitness, and personal time is key, and the schedule can be demanding, but it's also dynamic and rewarding for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the WWE position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a WWE Superstar (professional wrestler), candidates need exceptional physical fitness, in-ring wrestling skills, and performance abilities, often developed through dedicated training in wrestling schools or development programs. Experience with wrestling promotion systems, knowledge of match choreography, and adherence to safety protocols are also important, while media training or certification in first aid can be beneficial. Charisma, adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to engage with audiences and colleagues help individuals excel in this high-profile entertainment industry. These skills ensure performers can deliver high-quality entertainment, work safely, collaborate with others, and build a lasting presence in the WWE.

How to get hired by WWE?

To get hired by WWE, candidates should have relevant experience in entertainment, sports, or performance roles, along with strong physical fitness and communication skills. Applying through the WWE Careers website and networking within the industry can improve chances. Additional qualifications like wrestling training or related certifications may be beneficial for certain positions.

Job Title

We are looking for a Video Editor with strong creative instincts, a refined editorial voice, and deep technical expertise—especially in Avid and Interplay‑based workflows. You’ll work across a wide range of short‑form content, from behind‑the‑scenes doc style promotions and hype reels to branded storytelling and original shoots. If you love film, television, and music—and bring that sensibility into your work—you’ll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft short‑form video content for WWE’s digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
  • Edit in Avid Media Composer within Interplay environments, adhering to established project workflows.
  • Bring a bespoke, intentional style to each edit—tailoring tone, pacing, and sound design to the story being told.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and graphic artists from concept through delivery.
  • Work with music supervisors and creative leads to source and sync stock music libraries that enhance emotional resonance.
  • Maintain high standards for visual storytelling, sound, and finish quality.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while staying creatively inspired.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of professional editing, or AE experience in TV, film, or digital media.
  • Proficient in Avid Media Composer and comfortable in Interplay environments.
  • Strong editorial sensibility with a track record of distinct, stylistic work—must provide a demo reel or portfolio.
  • Deep understanding of post‑production workflows, asset management, and file‑based media.
  • A love of music and its role in storytelling; skilled at pairing visuals and sound for maximum impact.
  • Comfortable taking feedback and working collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Passion for editing is essential—experience in sports is not required.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in documentary, narrative television, or music‑driven content.
  • Knowledge of color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics is a plus (but not required).
  • Fan of WWE or open to learning about the brand’s storytelling ethos.
