Company Description Wallport Transit Xpress (WTX) is a family-owned motor carrier specializing in Intermodal Drayage, Dry Van, Project Cargo, and ISO transportation. Founded in 2007 with three tractors, WTX has grown into a fleet of 100 serving terminals in La Porte, Hutchins, and Fort Worth, Texas. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Intermodal Dispatcher role based in Fort Worth, TX. The Intermodal Dispatcher coordinates daily drayage and transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching drivers to and from terminals and customer locations. Responsibilities include monitoring load status, transportation management systems, and communicating accurate instructions, routes, and appointment times to drivers. The role requires frequent interaction with drivers, terminals, and internal teams to resolve service issues, manage delays, and maintain high service standards. The dispatcher also helps ensure compliance with safety policies, maintains accurate documentation, and supports continuous improvement of operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Operational coordination and planning skills, including dispatching, load scheduling, and route optimization.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for effective interaction with drivers, customers, and terminal staff.
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems, basic computer skills, and accurate data entry.
