Job description

MX is looking for a Content Writer to lead the creation of high-impact content that shapes how the financial services and fintech world understands the power of financial data. You bring deep expertise in B2B storytelling, a sharp editorial instinct, and the strategic vision to connect content to revenue outcomes.

What sets this role apart is an opportunity to help define how MX scales its voice - not just by writing more, but by writing smarter. You'll play a central role in developing and stewarding AI-assisted content workflows that keep our product messaging consistent, on-brand, and efficient across a growing volume of channels and campaigns. You'll be both a master practitioner and a multiplier: someone who raises the quality floor for everyone around you.

If you're a seasoned writer who's energized by the intersection of great storytelling and intelligent systems - and who thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment - this role is built for you.

Job Duties

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Lead the development of long-form thought leadership, including whitepapers, research reports, executive bylines, and in-depth blogs that establish MX as a definitive voice in fintech

  • Own end-to-end content for 5+ major demand generation campaigns per year, from brief to post-launch optimization

  • Produce 3+ high-impact customer or partner stories per quarter through case studies, press releases, and media-ready narratives

  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate complex product positioning into compelling, audience-appropriate content across the funnel

AI-Assisted Messaging & Workflow Automation

  • Develop and maintain a library of AI-ready product messaging prompts, templates, and guardrails that enable the content team to produce on-brand material faster and more consistently

  • Implement and iterate on AI-assisted content workflows (using tools such as Gemini, Claude, or similar) to accelerate first-draft production, repurposing, and messaging QA

  • Establish messaging consistency standards that can be operationalized through prompt engineering, style guides embedded in AI tools, and structured content templates

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to evaluate, adopt, and optimize AI content tooling as part of MX's broader marketing stack

Quality, Brand & Editorial Standards Cross-Functional Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as a senior editorial voice and quality gatekeeper across all external-facing content, ensuring brand consistency in tone, terminology, and messaging hierarchy

  • Lead copy editing and messaging reviews on high-visibility materials, including website copy, sales resources, and executive communications

  • Maintain and evolve the MX content style guide in collaboration with the broader marketing team

  • Mentor junior and mid-level content writers, providing substantive editorial feedback and coaching on craft, structure, and strategic framing

  • Act as a senior content partner to Demand Gen, Product Marketing, PR, and Social - capable of scoping, advising, and executing across all content types

  • Contribute to content planning processes, including editorial calendar ownership, capacity planning, and campaign prioritization

Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, content strategy, or a related field; fintech or financial services experience strongly preferred

  • A portfolio that demonstrates range - long-form thought leadership, campaign content, and product-oriented copy - alongside evidence of strategic ownership, not just execution

  • Hands-on experience designing and using AI-assisted content workflows; comfort with prompt engineering and translating brand voice into AI tooling inputs

  • Exceptionally strong written communication skills with a proven ability to simplify complex technical or financial concepts for varied audiences

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or fintech environment

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate the work of peers and junior team members

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, CMS platforms, and content performance analytics
