About The Role: 
The Technical Writer is responsible for preparing all technical user, service, and installation manuals and release notes to support ARxIUM products. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma in Technical Communications or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical automation and/or medical software is considered an asset.
  • Experience working for a product-based manufacturing organization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO and/or FDA cGMP Quality Management Systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of digital and computer-based documentation delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, interview subject matter experts, conduct hands-on product testing, and participate in training to develop accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Proven ability to gather, organize, and present complex technical information in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
  • Experience reviewing and editing documentation created by team members to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2 accessibility requirements is an asset.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, organize, and complete writing assignments in accordance with established standards for structure, clarity, tone, terminology, and style.
  • Create and maintain user manuals, service manuals, installation guides, and release notes for company products in collaboration with technical staff.
  • Develop a strong understanding of end-user, service, and installation requirements to ensure documentation meets audience needs.
  • Edit, standardize, and improve documentation prepared by other contributors.
  • Select and refine visuals including photographs, diagrams, charts, and illustrations—to effectively support written content.
  • Maintain organized records of documentation, revisions, and version history.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
