Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid Writer to support the development of high-quality bids and proposals. This role is ideal for someone who already has bid-writing experience and is ready to take more ownership of responses, manage sections independently, and contribute to improving bid processes and win strategies.

You will work closely with subject matter experts, sales teams, and bid managers to produce compelling, compliant, and customer-focused submissions.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

        Assist in supporting the Business Services team with their deliverables

        Write, edit, and review bid and tender responses to a high standard, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements

        Take ownership of allocated sections of bids, from initial outline through to final submission

        Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical and business content

        Translate complex information into clear, persuasive, and benefit-led responses

        Ensure bids align with RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and scoring guidance

        Review and refine content to improve quality, readability, and competitiveness

        Support the development of bid libraries, templates, and standard responses

        Manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

        Contribute ideas to continuously improve bid processes, content, and success rates

Skills & Experience

Essential:

        Post-secondary education diploma or degree

       Confident in producing large written professional materials

        Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and attention to detail

        Experience working with formal tenders (e.g. public sector, regulated environments, or complex procurements)

        Ability to interpret tender documentation and evaluation criteria

        Strong organisational and time-management skills

        Detail-oriented

        Confident working with stakeholders at different levels

Desirable:

        3 years minimum proven experience as a Bid Writer or Proposal Writer

        Technical/business writing experience

        Experience in Government of Canada and/or IT sector

        Familiarity with bid management tools or CRM systems

        Understanding of bid strategy, win themes, and scoring methodologies

Technology:

Hybrid:

Permanent, salaried position
