Proposal Writer / Coordinator
Venesco LLC is looking for a hands-on Proposal Writer to assist with federal proposal development to submission. We are specifically looking for your experience in supporting task orders under large IDIQ contracts with focus on IMIT, Information Management Information Technology. Your IMIT experience and writing ability, along with our solid past performance, will help us secure future IMIT focused IDIQ contracts.
Our large IDIQ contracts have yielded a wealth of expertise in program, task order, and contract management worldwide. Venesco runs multiple prime contracts, ranging in size from as few as one or two employees to programs with 150+ employees. Venesco is a nimble small business with a large businesses impact and reach.
Venesco LLC is a financially strong government contractor working to provide innovative best practices in Biomedical, Information Technology, and professional services. This is a fast-paced and exciting opportunity where the proposal team is included in strategic corporate business development decisions.
Reporting to the VP/Strategy and Growth, you will work with our business development team and subject matter experts to manage deadlines and details, write and vet content, and help ensure that our proposals are compliant, compelling, tell our story, and have the desired impact.
You will work from our Chantilly, VA office with the option of working from home 2-days a week after the probationary period. Venesco offers full benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist and eventually lead and manage, the full lifecycle of competitive federal proposals.
  • Collaborate with BD personnel, partners, and subject matter experts to provide proposal leadership, support, and direction and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure win strategy, technical solution, win themes, discriminators, compliance, and clear understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent throughout final proposal documents.
  • Oversee/produce schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal kickoffs, technical solution sessions, and color reviews.
  • Facilitate proposal reviews and make ongoing recommendations to ensure compliance and increase proposal scorability.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience with the full lifecycle of competitive federal proposals
  • Background in IT preferred
  • Understanding of capture and ability to assist technical and capture personnel in developing compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent proposal efforts
  • Writing experience preferre

Certifications:
  • Preferred APMP and/or Shipley certifications
