POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you an expert medical writer with deep knowledge of the US/Global regulatory landscape, ready to elevate your career in healthcare advertising? We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our dynamic team.

The Medical Writer will play a pivotal role in shaping scientifically robust and strategically impactful campaigns, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (strategy, creative, and account management) to ensure our communications are accurate, engaging, and compliant for healthcare professionals and patients.

This role is for a passionate individual who can translate complex data into compelling and compliant communications that drive results. You will independently manage the scientific and clinical content for assigned brands, serving as a key medical writing resource for internal teams and clients. Leveraging your expertise, you'll ensure scientific accuracy, regulatory adherence, and strategic relevance throughout the development of campaigns, with minimal reliance on senior guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce material that follows client briefs for a variety of audiences including healthcare professional, patients and consumers
  • Partner with account services team, art directors, creative copywriters and clients to produce deliverables that meet communication objectives
  • Distill scientific content into promotional and educational materials for varied audiences (e.g. healthcare professionals, patients, consumer, etc.)
  • Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance of content that upholds both client requirements and county-specific regulatory guidelines (FDA, ABPI, OPDP - whichever is needed based on client)
  • Build arguments to support the client in their response to regulatory bodies
  • Prioritize and perform multiple tasks under established deadlines
  • Be a brand expert, with in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area(s)
  • Work on brand assignments that require more experience and strategic knowledge
  • Participate in new business pitches as needed
  • Collaborate with all teams across the agency

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • University degree preferably in Science: MSc, PhD, PharmD Clinical / Scientific
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare medical copy writing advertising
  • Expert level knowledge of US/Globalpharmaceutical marketing regulations.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret clinical/scientific data
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment
  • Strong client-facing skills to build and maintain relationships, understand client needs, and present medical content strategies
