Job description

Brabazon is looking for a full-time Service Writer to join our team!
You will be responsible for writing service proposals for all branches, as well as working closely with the Service Managers and Coordinators to keep the Service Departments running efficiently.
This job is for you if you:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Some technical customer service experience or strong mechanical aptitude
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and CRM

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in industrial environment with continuous walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and kneeling

You will be successful in this role if you:
  • Communicate professionally and courteously
  • Have excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Are thorough and resourceful
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and can multi-task and prioritize

Your daily work in this role will include:
  • Gathering Parts Information in preparation of writing service quotes.
  • Calculating service quote total pricing.
  • Writing service quotes from Templates provided. Share pricing calculation & service quotes with applicable Branch Service Manager.

Your secondary duties in this role will include:
  • Opening work orders for Local Service Branch jobs
  • Preparing Local Branch service orders and ensuring required parts are available for Service Technicians
  • Answer incoming phone calls for the local Service Branch
  • Billing and maintaining open order report
  • Maintaining service schedule for the Service Center

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of customer service.
  • Ability to work as a team with internal and external staff members.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company.
  • Previous experience with pumps, compressors, and vacuum equipment is an asset, but not required.
