Job Description

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the clients, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer (PE) with 4+ years' of experience in geotechnical consulting. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • B.S. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering), M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
