Job Title: Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Start Date: Immediately 

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 annual salary


Position Overview: The Superintendent oversees roofing construction activities such as project planning, scheduling, and budgeting while improving the accountability and efficiency. The Superintendent is responsible for the overall outcome of projects.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Lead and manage commercial roofing crews and subcontractors to deliver safe, high‑quality, on‑schedule work.
  • Maintain daily jobsite presence to oversee safety, quality, production, and progress.
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to avoid delays and inefficiencies.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Foremen to align scope, schedule, and execution.
  • Proactively solve jobsite issues to control costs, schedules, and quality.
  • Track project progress, labor hours, and percent complete; provide timely reporting for billing.
  • Maintain clear documentation, photos, and weekly project reports.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control, Safety, inspectors, and manufacturers as needed.
  • Identify potential change orders and communicate impacts immediately.
  • Perform final quality walkthroughs prior to demobilization.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining customer satisfaction and company standards.
  • Complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.


Required Skills and Abilities:  

  • Proven experience with commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, tapered systems, shingles, WV, FA).
    OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Valid driver’s license (MO Class E or equivalent) and DOT MedCard.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews, resources, and multiple projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Detail‑oriented, accountable decision‑maker with solid time management skills.
  • Professional, effective written and verbal communication.

Education and Experience:  

  • High School Diploma and GED
  • 5-10 years in construction and roofing related industries
  • 2 years of team management experience


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:  

  • Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
  • Primarily outdoor office environment (approximately 20% office)
  • Some outdoor environments in all types of weather (approximately 70% fieldwork)
  • Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)
  • Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, walking
  • Overtime and weekend work
