Job description

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Health insurance
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Paid time off

This is an agent seat, not a sales seat
We book and service corporate travel. You will be on a GDS most of the day, building and reissuing itineraries for business travellers, and you will be the person a client calls when a flight cancels at 7pm and they need to be in Chicago by morning. If you are looking for a role that is mostly prospecting and quota, this is not it.
What you will actually do
  • Build domestic and international business itineraries across air, hotel, car, rail and ground
  • Quote, price and optimise fares, including negotiated and corporate fares
  • Issue, exchange, reissue and refund tickets, and keep PNRs clean
  • Handle disruption. Cancellations, misconnects, schedule changes and the rebooking that follows
  • Apply each client travel policy correctly, and know when to flag an exception rather than absorb it
  • Hold relationships with airline, hotel and ground vendors

What we need you to bring
  • Hands-on GDS experience. Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo, Galileo or Worldspan. This is the requirement, not a preference. Tell us which one and how long.
  • Experience booking for business travellers rather than leisure. Corporate, government, university or agency-side all count.
  • Comfort with ticketing mechanics. Exchanges, reissues, voids and residual value.
  • Composure on the phone with a traveller who is already stranded and already annoyed.
  • Accuracy under time pressure. A wrong record locator costs real money.

What we do not need
A sales background. A degree in anything specific. Experience with our particular back office, which we will teach you. If you have spent three years as a corporate agent on Sabre and never sold anything in your life, you are exactly who we are looking for.
Details
  • 40,000 to 55,000 per year depending on experience
  • Full time, hybrid out of our Wayne, New Jersey office
  • Reports into our operations group
