Mosquito Technician

What Do Our Mosquito Technicians Do?

As a Mosquito Technician with us, you're responsible for spraying all areas of our customers' yard while completing your assigned daily route. This position involves interacting with customers, completing mosquito treatment, and even having the opportunity for commission on sales services! This is a driving position that would require you to report to our Doraville, GA office every day to pick up your company truck before your shift, then drop it back off at the office after your shift is over.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Picking up and dropping off your company truck before and after your shift in Doraville, GA
  • Driving a company truck along a scheduled route and spraying all areas of the customers' yards with the mosquito control solution
  • Only working with mosquitos for mosquito control, no other creepy crawly bugs/pests/insects
  • Answering customer questions/concerns when visiting their home
  • Mixing and spraying mosquito control chemicals
  • Carrying a 60 lbs. spray backpack
  • Using your own smartphone for the job (downloading/using different apps, no customers that you need to call)
  • Working a majority of your day outside in different weather conditions
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle and make sure it and all other equipment is kept clean
  • Lots of moving around — regularly walking, crouching, and moving around outside

Essential Job Functions:

  • Providing excellent customer service, and building relationships with our neighborhoods
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in the area of pest control
  • Comfortable with self-directed working conditions after a training period

What Do You Need?

  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in both internal and external settings
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. You'll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
