Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant Teacher/Job Coach to support high school students with disabilities as they develop the skills needed for successful employment and independent living. This unique position combines classroom support with hands-on job coaching in a community-based work environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in a community-based work setting.
- Support students in developing vocational, social, workplace, and independent living skills.
- Reinforce classroom learning through practical, hands-on job experiences.
- Assist instructional staff in evaluating student growth and readiness for employment.
- Monitor and document daily activities, attendance, and skill development.
- Use positive reinforcement and individualized teaching strategies to promote success.
- Coach students in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
- Foster positive relationships with students, coworkers, employers, and community partners.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Job Coach Certification (Can obtain after employment)
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to pass Drug and Background Screenings
- Experience in special education, workforce development, vocational training, transition or job coaching services
- Knowledge of positive behavior supports and instructional strategies
