Job Description:

What It Means to Be a Consultant at Crowe
Consulting is a dynamic business focused on solving problems for our clients and serving our core markets through innovative solutions. As technology and AI continue to reshape the consulting landscape, we are looking for individuals who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. At Crowe, consultants are expected to build both technical and transferable skills, think critically, and use technology to solve real business problems. In this role, you will continuously learn, collaborate across teams, and explore how tools, including emerging AI capabilities, can improve efficiency, insights, and client outcomes.

As you grow, you'll also begin to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to account strategy, and support the delivery of high-impact work. Developing a sense of account leadership, including understanding client needs, ensuring delivery excellence, and building trusted partnerships, is part of what sets successful consultants apart.

Success in this role comes from a growth mindset, strong communication skills, advanced critical thinking, and the ability to navigate new challenges with confidence.

About the Role

Crowe is seeking an experienced and motivated GRC Technology Senior Consultant with a strong focus on the Workiva platform to join our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Technology Consulting team.

In this role, you will work with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mid-market businesses to transform how they use technology to manage governance, risk, compliance, and related business processes. You will play an important role in implementing, configuring, and optimizing Workiva solutions, including GRC, financial reporting, Wdata, and Sustainability, while helping clients develop sustainable technology and risk management programs.

As a member of our GRC Technology Consulting team, you will combine your understanding of business processes with hands-on Workiva platform expertise to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions. You will collaborate directly with clients and Crowe team members throughout the implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a Workiva platform resource and subject matter expert for client engagements.
  • Lead and support Workiva implementations, enhancements, configurations, and related technology initiatives.
  • Work directly with clients to identify, understand, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical solution designs.
  • Configure, build, develop, prototype, and test technology solutions.
  • Develop testing strategies and plans and support clients throughout user acceptance testing and other testing cycles.
  • Develop training plans, materials, and programs and deliver training across client functions.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including platform demonstrations, solution development, and proofs of concept.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer success, project objectives, scope, timelines, and quality.
  • Support clients through go-live and transition solutions to ongoing account management and support teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to solution development, project leadership, client service delivery, and business development activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with software implementation, technology consulting, system configuration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating requirements into functional or technical solutions.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, administering, or enhancing Workiva solutions in a consulting or enterprise environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment and with professionals at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel based on client and project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrator-type experience with RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC, Onspring, Lockpath, MetricStream, or OpenPages platforms.
  • Experience working across multiple areas of governance, risk, compliance, audit, controls, sustainability, and/or financial reporting.
  • Experience working with data management tools.
  • Experience providing GRC technology subject matter expertise to clients or internal business stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating platform demonstrations, proofs of concept, or other pre-sales activities.
  • Experience leading or coordinating portions of technology implementation projects.
  • GRC platform, risk, compliance, audit, or related professional certifications.
  • Experience working with large or complex organizations and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Strong client-service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
