Job description

We are a luxury pet boarding, daycare and grooming facility looking to hire people who are warm, loving, detail orientated, reliable, comfortable working with cats, dogs and other animals of all sizes/breeds and who want to be an advocate for great pet care! We will be cross training our new hires to be able to work any position within our facility with the exception of cutting dog’s hair.
Our facility is a non-smoking facility. We do not allow break times for smoke breaks as some pets are very sensitive and bothered by the smell. Smoking is prohibited during any shift. You must be willing to work your shifts (up to 8 hours) with no smoking of any kind. Vaping can be discussed.
Mama Bear’s is fully insured and will be running background checks on new employees prior to hiring.
Current Position Available:
~ Full Time Morning Shift: Mon-Fri 5:30am-2:00pm
~ MUST be available to work weekends and all Holidays as well but may not be needed
Job Requirements:
 Must be a team player! Negative energy is not good for the team or for the well being of the pets!
 Prior experience in animal care is preferred but we will train the right person who has the willingness and ability to learn
 Reliable transportation
 No criminal record and US Driver’s License
 Speak, read and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills
 Bend and walk with ease, lift at least 40lbs easily, be on your feet for up to 6-8 hours at a time
 Nonsmoker preferred
 Must be able to handle being outside for short periods in the heat
Job Description:
 Interacting with clients and their pets in person and on the phone
 Checking clients in and out, making reservations, charging clients, updating client info
 Feeding, Medicating and Playing with dogs and cats
 Cleaning up after pets messes and making sure facility is clean and tidy
 Ensuring pets suites are secured and in good clean shape
 Sending out cute, well written pet updates and photos to owners
 Bathing dogs and giving nail trims
 Exercising dogs (indoors and outdoors)
