Our Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) program is looking for a Senior Radar Systems Engineer. In this position, you will support the AN/TPY‑2 Radar by conducting engineering tests to diagnose and troubleshoot system anomalies, including components such as REX, BSG, Antenna/Sub‑Array, and TRIMMs.

You will also be responsible for preparing weekly updates on engineering activities and maintaining a comprehensive Radar Performance Notebook. This log will include data such as El Ops runs, satellite tracks, IMU measurements, and radar calibration information. All notebook entries will be submitted to the Missile Defense Center (MDC) in Woburn, MA for ongoing performance monitoring, data analysis, and regression testing.

This unaccompanied onsite role will be in Guam for a long-term assignment under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with additional compensation and potential extensions.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support for Radar system troubleshooting and assist key site personnel with issue resolution.
  • Maintain overall Radar health and operational readiness to ensure successful mission execution.
  • Plan, execute, and validate mission tests, including developing new mission profiles for the Radar system.
  • Support the establishment of RF Hazard/Keep‑Out Zones (KOZs) and assist in developing and implementing site‑specific radiation safety procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute data collection, reduction, and analysis procedures for Radar system performance.
  • Communicate consistently with end users regarding Radar status and coordinate calibration and maintenance actions.
  • Provide engineering support for hardware and software Configuration Management (CM).
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through implementation and closure, conducting regression testing as necessary.
  • Review and recommend updates to Radar test plans, system operator manuals, and environmental, health, and safety procedures.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the Radar system’s planned maintenance program and propose enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Assurance (QA) and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) requirements by submitting timely, complete, and accurate data.
  • Evaluate the technical content of the FBX‑T System Operator’s Manual (TM FBX‑T‑10‑1) and recommend revisions to operating instructions, procedures, and work packages.
  • Review and suggest improvements to the AN/TPY‑2 Radar Set‑Up & Test Plan and the AN/TPY‑2 Radar Environment, Health & Safety Plan.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior engineering experience.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience working with Radar systems, including proficiency with UNIX and/or MATLAB.
  • Experience in software and systems integration planning and implementation.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
