Job description

Position Summary

This position will develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with business goals, managing procurement, inventory, and logistics to ensure optimal efficiency and cost control. The Supply Chain and Logistics Planner will build and maintain strong supplier and carrier relationships and monitor timely delivery. They will leverage data, technology, and market insights to optimize operations, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, and procurement to ensure optimal stock levels.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.

  • Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring on-time and cost-effective delivery.

  • Manage relationships with carriers and freight forwarders.

  • Optimize shipping routes and modes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement supply chain technologies and tools to streamline operations.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including disruptions, delays, and cost fluctuations.

  • Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

  • Stay informed on market trends, economic changes, and geopolitical issues that may impact supply chain operations.

  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.

  • Analyze data to make informed decisions regarding procurement, inventory, and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain coordination.

  • Previous experience with Netsuite and Flexport

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization

  • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with constant change.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently to achieve goals.

  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.

  • Hands-on experience in international logistics, including customs clearance and import/export operations.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with periodic exposure to a warehouse environment

  • This position may be required to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance

Compensation Range: $80K - $100K
