Bank Referral Account Executive Needed

Are you an experienced merchant services sales professional ready to take ownership of a bank referral territory?

As a Bank Referral Account Executive, you’ll partner with Financial Institutions and referral sources to generate opportunities, close new business, and grow production within your assigned region. This role requires industry knowledge, disciplined pipeline management, and a consistent ability to deliver results.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage relationships with assigned Financial Institutions and referral partners to generate a consistent flow of qualified merchant services opportunities aligned with performance goals.
  • Close referred opportunities from assigned FIs and partners, achieving company-defined expectations for close ratios, account volume, and profit margins.
  • Supplement referral opportunities by proactively re-engaging former clients and prospecting local businesses to meet or exceed monthly goals for leads, proposals, applications, new merchants, and sales volume.
  • Maintain accurate, timely activity and pipeline records within the CRM system, ensuring pre-sales metrics and production data are consistently tracked.
  • Stay current on payments industry trends, company products, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
  • Participate in ongoing sales and product training to strengthen industry knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and safety standards.
    Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Birmingham, AL-based region
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience or banking experience working with business clients; experience in payments or merchant services strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with referral partners, relationship-based sales channels, or territory-based production models preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and pipeline management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Analytical ability to review merchant statements, pricing structures, and financial data.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, including mastering company systems and external processing platforms.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Regular travel within the region.
