Workday Adaptive Planning Developer
Location: Remote (East Coast hours preferred; preference near Charlotte, Atlanta, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Richmond, Orlando)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 only through Apex Systems; USC/GC/EAD-GC/TN only)
About the Role
Join a dynamic HR Technology team as a Workday Adaptive Planning Developer. This is an exclusive opportunity to take ownership of advanced workforce planning models and integrations within a leading organization. Work remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams, shaping strategic workforce initiatives, and building your expertise in Adaptive Planning.
Responsibilities
- Design and build complex models, sheets, dashboards, reports, and integrations within Workday Adaptive Planning
- Develop workforce planning models for headcount, fulfillment, supply/demand, and scenario analysis
- Implement custom calculations, assumptions, and business rules to meet FP&A needs
- Connect Adaptive Planning with Workday HCM and Prism; manage data transformation and validation
- Optimize model efficiency and manage large datasets
- Automate workflows for forecast submissions and approvals
- Troubleshoot and resolve design, configuration, and integration issues; support production analysts
- Create and maintain thorough product documentation, user guides, and training materials
- Engage stakeholders to deliver insights on workforce planning strategies
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-8 years of experience on HR Technology projects
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on with Adaptive Planning workforce planning modules in Workday
- Strong expertise in designing and building complex models, sheets, dashboards, reporting, administration, and integrations
- Deep proficiency in HR processes, especially strategic workforce planning (headcount, cost, resource, capacity planning)
- Experience with integrations to Workday Prism Analytics, Tableau, and Core HCM
- Familiarity with the Technology Development Life Cycle (TDLC) and Agile frameworks
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the Rally Agile tool
- Ability to create test scenarios and test cases
