 The JLD-Laguë Group is establishing a hybrid position focused on field support to ensure optimal use of technologies by our customers and to accelerate the adoption of modern agricultural solutions; the incumbent serves as a reference point across all branches-diagnostics, stabilization, configuration, optimization, and commissioning-in a systems specialist role involving targeted technical interventions, with a strong emphasis on electrical/electronic diagnostics and precision agriculture expertise.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Corporate Support - Precision Agriculture

  • Support field service operations; take ownership of complex/escalated cases involving agricultural technologies.
  • On-site technical support.
  • Phone support as part of the after-hours on-call rotation when the Precision Agriculture Call Center is closed.

Electrical/Electronic Diagnostics & Structured Problem Solving

  • Advanced diagnostics (power supply, grounds, continuity, interference/noise, sensors, harnesses, modules, displays/terminals).
  • Root cause analysis, durable corrective actions, post-intervention validation, and recurrence prevention (procedures/training).

Targeted Technical Interventions (Field)

  • Required assembly/disassembly; replacement of technology components; recommissioning and validation.
  • General technical work/diagnostics on equipment when necessary to close cases.

Precision Agriculture & Telematics (After-Sales Support)

  • Installation and technical support of advanced precision agriculture solutions.
  • After-sales support for precision agriculture and telematics solutions (internal/external).

Operations Center - Configuration & Optimization (End-to-End Scope)

  • Governance: account creation/structure, access management (roles/permissions), sharing rules, and compliance.
  • Customer-Farm-Field structure: creation, correction, normalization, and operational alignment.
  • Field boundaries: import/creation, validation, updates, version management, duplicate removal.
  • Guidance: setup, optimization, and standardization of practices to reduce operator variability.
  • Connectivity: machine/display pairing, telematics validation, resolution of synchronization and data upload issues.
  • Workflow optimization: make information usable (tasks, maps, reports) and drive adoption.

Training & Presentations

  • Train employees and customers; develop and deliver training sessions.
  • Assess needs and implement internal training on technologies.

Emergency / On-Call

  • Active participation in the emergency/on-call schedule: triage, stabilization, return to production.

Support Plans - Commercial Contribution

  • Support the sale of subscriptions and promote support plans to customers.

Technology Watch & Network Standardization

  • Stay current on new and upcoming John Deere technologies.
  • Create/update procedures, checklists, and knowledge base; share lessons learned across the network.

Related Tasks

  • Direct collaboration with the Director of Integrated Solutions on corporate projects and related tasks.
