Job description

Richter, Head, Shinall, White & Slotkin LLP is seeking a paralegal to join its insurance defense/workers' compensation defense practice in Atlanta/Sandy Springs. Insurance defense or workers' compensation experience preferred, but not required.

Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Preparing acknowledgement letters to clients
  • Serve and respond to discovery
  • Prepare pleadings and notices to clients and opposing parties
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, and medical appointments
  • Preparation of Request for Production of Documents to Non-Parties and follow ups
  • Maintain attorneys' calendars
  • Communication with clients to obtain case related information
  • Prepare filings and file documents with the State Board of Workers' Compensation
  • Billing time in case management software (Caret)
  • Read, interpret, and summarize medical records and reports

Ideal candidate will have a paralegal certificate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
