Job description
Richter, Head, Shinall, White & Slotkin LLP is seeking a paralegal to join its insurance defense/workers' compensation defense practice in Atlanta/Sandy Springs. Insurance defense or workers' compensation experience preferred, but not required.
Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- Preparing acknowledgement letters to clients
- Serve and respond to discovery
- Prepare pleadings and notices to clients and opposing parties
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, and medical appointments
- Preparation of Request for Production of Documents to Non-Parties and follow ups
- Maintain attorneys' calendars
- Communication with clients to obtain case related information
- Prepare filings and file documents with the State Board of Workers' Compensation
- Billing time in case management software (Caret)
- Read, interpret, and summarize medical records and reports
Ideal candidate will have a paralegal certificate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
