Job Summary
The Federal Work Study Student for the Office of Community Engagement and Belonging will assist with daily office operations as determined by the Supervisor. Duties and responsibilities require interpersonal and clerical skills and an understanding of effective customer service. The student worker will provide educationally beneficial assistance to the Community Engagement and Belonging Department.
Must have working knowledge of general office practices and duties.
May be required to work during different activities hosted by the Office of Community Engagement and Belonging.
Responsibilities
Customer Service -50
-Answer the main line of the office and direct phone calls as requested and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the proper location or person.
Administrative and office support - 45
Assist with scanning, data entry, filing, sorting, photocopying, and maintaining records, making deliveries, running errands, operating routine office machines and equipment, maintain office cleanliness
Other Duties - 5
Other projects to be completed as needed.

Must have a current Federal Work Study allocation award from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships at Georgia College & State University.
Must be able to demonstrate professionalism and dependability. Excellent analytical, organizational oral and written communication skills necessary. Should be detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
General knowledge of office procedures and practices associated with professional settings. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment, to take initiative, and to follow through with all responsibilities and assigned tasks.
Ability to work a flexible schedule around class commitments
Required Experience
Student must enroll in at least six credit hours as an undergraduate student at Georgia College & State University each semester.
