Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Teach public speaking course content.

  • Evaluate student performances.

  • Administer department exams.

  • Post information to Learning Management Software (CANVAS).

  • Complete assessment assignments.

  • Teach research skills, outline writing and oral communication skills.

  • Submit semester documents including, but not limited to, syllabus, exams, gradebooks, attendance, and participation rosters.

  • Willingness to teach courses in-person at multiple campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Communication Studies.

  • Experience teaching public speaking.

  • 15 credits of graduate coursework in Communication Studies OR equivalent terminal degree with experience in public speaking/oral communication coursework.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 30 credits of Communication Studies coursework.

  • Two years' experience teaching public speaking.
