Stockroom Attendant/ Office Student Worker

Requires at least one class of Undergraduate Chemistry lab experience in student transcript. The ideal candidate will have taken 3 terms of chemistry lab classes.

The job will require the worker to act as the Stockroom Window Attendant during labs in the afternoon (2 pm -6 pm) and/or and evenings (6pm-10pm) and will supply Lab students with equipment and record broken lab equipment as well as student debt amounts on Excel spreadsheets.

Workers will also be responsible for supply inventory and general lab and experiment set up, and clean up for teaching labs. Lab Safety procedures knowledge and training is required - Hazardous Communications, Blood Borne Pathogens and Chemical Lab Safety training.

Workers may also be responsible for general office duties, including but not limited to, the use of MS Office applications and office equipment.

Worker must be an undergraduate proficient in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Word and Excel.

Student worker should be able to greet and assist student customers in the main office for an academic department.

Duties will include running errands on campus, assisting professors in proctoring exams, duties to assist professors in class preparation, and maintaining office/classroom equipment and supplies.

Ideal candidate will be able to work a few hours daily in the office. Students' performance will be evaluated at least annually and failure to perform duties as assigned or missing too many assigned shifts may result in termination.
