Description: Desk Assistants for the office of Student Engagement are the friendly faces that welcome and assist guests of the Student Engagement Suite. They play a pivotal role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, offering information about the events, programs and resources the office of Student Engagement provides.
Specific responsibilities can include:
Perform the highest level of customer service to visitors.
Answer the phone and provide information to visitors.
Assist department staff with projects.
Complete campus errands for department staff.
Distribute incoming mail/packages; ensure outgoing mail is picked up.
Complete University-assigned training within a week of assignment.
Abide by department policies regarding duties, attendance, and dress code.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
Desk Assistants for the Office of Student Engagement is a 9-month, 19-hours-per-week position between the hours of 8am and 6 pm. Starting pay is $10 per hour and pay is bi-weekly. This is a WORK STUDY ONLY position.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Only full-time WORK STUDY APPROVED students at East Texas A&M University are eligible for this position. Please include the following application materials as required.
