Boeing Defense, Space, and Security is seeking a motivated & experienced engineerto support anIndustrial Engineering Fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operational research, data analytics, and will have a strong analytical background.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies Industrial Engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.
  • Designs, develops, analyzes, tests, evaluates and implements processes and technology insertions by applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency and after-market services.
  • Monitors performance, supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Translates engineering, systems, and mathematical concepts to practical applications throughout the product life cycle.
  • Research emerging technologies and develop industrial engineering tools and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
  • Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
  • Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
  • Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
  • Leads metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans related to our team's productivity, efficiency and first-time quality, including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) from ABET accredited college or university.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in an engineering discipline.
  • 2 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in a team environment.
  • 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Tableau, R, Teradata, etc experience

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
