Responsibilities
• Athletics Gameday Staff Team members are student workers who will work directly with the Department of Athletics staff to serve as the face of AUM during home athletic events hosted on-campus, which are typically evenings and weekends. Team members may also be asked to help with AUM Athletics special events and department representation at campus. • Work as a part of the Athletics Game Day Operations team assigned to the area of most need on each game day • Attend and participate in scheduled trainings at the start of each season • Be on-time and work all scheduled events • Be an engaging, welcoming representative of AUM and AUM Athletics for fans, visiting teams, and other attendees • Assist with general AUM Athletics gameday responsibilities, including: gameday operations, concessions, ticketing, camerawork/live stream production, scoreboard operations, marketing, other Athletics Communications duties, and other various AUM Athletics duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred candidates are those that wish to work in Athletics (College or Professional), Marketing, Business, Food Service Management, or are looking for ways to improve their skills and the AUM campus. Few events will be during regular business hours, therefore, candidates must be available to work on nights and weekends.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants with a special interest in Athletic Communications who demonstrate relevant advanced knowledge, skills and abilities may also be able to execute additional responsibilities. Advanced Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Advanced Duties & Responsibilities include: • Photography or Videography Graphic Design / Proficient experience with Adobe Creative Suite Game Filming and/or BlueFrame Technology video streaming • Broadcasting experience • Experience using NCAA Live Stats, StatCrew and Presto Sports Statistics Software • Sport specific rules knowledge and score board operations for one or more sport of AUM's 12 varsity sports • Experience using Vivenue Ticketing or similar online ticketing platform • Other experience with Concessions/Food Service, Special Events or Game Operations
