Job description

Make a real impact on students' lives by supporting their behavioral and academic success. As a School Support Specialist, you'll work directly with students, families, and school staff to address behavioral challenges, improve attendance, and connect families to essential resources.

Starting Pay: $20-21/hour
Full-Time / Year-Round
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

What You'll Be Doing:
• Provide administrative intervention for students with behavioral or attendance issues
• De-escalate inappropriate behaviors using approved intervention techniques
• Partner with school staff, students, and families to support student success
• Refer families to community and Boys Town resources as needed
• Track student progress and maintain case files and data
Who We're Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum age of 18 required
Preferred: Bachelor's degree and experience with special needs or behavioral support in school settings
Physical & Safety Requirements:
• Mostly sedentary work in a standard school or office environment
• Regular use of computers and standard office equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
