Job description

Office Assistant

We are seeking a Federal Work Study eligible student to work as an Office Assistant in the Student Success Center in Hugh Stephens Library. Hours will be M-F, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

  • Greets and assists students in a professional manner and maintains a courteous and professional presence. Coordinates with Center staff to perform secretarial duties, including taking messages and scanning textbooks for students who have electronic text accommodations.
  • Coordinates with staff to set up the Teaching and Testing Center for test proctoring appointments.
  • Tidies and organizes the general study area and student computer areas as well as organize and inventory office supplies.
  • Collaborates with staff to co-design Center promotional materials and Center bulletin boards.

Requirements

  • Understands and respects student confidentiality under FERPA, ADA, and Section 504.
  • Demonstrates customer service skills and proficiency with MS Office products and design platforms such as Canva.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and values accuracy, attention to detail, a sense of integrity, and a willingness to learn.

Salary Description $15.00/hour
